Totally recommend for a weekend pause
Compact room, clean room, which was comfortable and included a flat-screen TV, and I appreciated the free Wi-Fi in public areas while Glen, my host, provided excellent service.
No room for improvement.

Friendly staff made me feel welcome.
Unfortunately, my stay was marred by several issues. The walls were incredibly thin, which made for a noisy experience as you could hear everyone moving about. I was frustrated that I had to phone the owner to enter the building late at night, which was quite inconvenient.

The Saracen Head is a gem right in the heart of Beith! I devoured some cheeky takeout from Kirin Chinese Take Away, just a hop away—crispy spring rolls & sweet and sour chicken that hit the spot! Plus, Glen was an absolute legend, making me feel right at home and even letting me chow down in the bar.
While the atmosphere was what you'd expect from a pub above a bar, the walls were a bit thin, making it a proper mission to get some quiet. Could hear people shuffling about all night. Thankfully, it was a relatively chill night, but I might take my chances elsewhere next time.

The room had a cozy feel, providing a clean place to crash after a long day. A bottle of water welcomed me, though I missed some basic coffee supplies like cups or a jug.
The room was dated with no windows or ventilation, making it feel claustrophobic. Issues included a TV without a remote, a shower head holder that broke when touched, and incessant toilet noises that made sleep elusive. While the bar downstairs closed early, guests had to contact someone to come in and out, which could feel a bit risky for solo travelers. prices felt steep for such basic accommodations.

the saracen head is super central in beith, really easy to get around. my room was cozy n clean, definitely comfy after a long day. glen, the host, was really chill n helpful, made sure i felt welcome. loved that i could grab takeaway nearby n eat in the bar, that was a nice touch.
the place is a bit noisy with the road work and refurb things going on. could be better once it's all fixed up.

No milk for the tea in the morning was disappointing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nearby pub crawling options are great for evening fun. Room clean but basic, could use improvements.

Quaint Stay with Room for Improvement
I enjoyed a peaceful night in the Budget Twin Room but faced a few inconveniences like a broken shower holder and a locked entrance after 6 PM. Consider bringing your own breakfast options and check in early for a better experience.

Ideal spot for solo adventurers
The host Glen was enthusiastic and friendly, and even let me enjoy my takeaway dinner in the bar. Room was compact but clean and did the job (telly worked too, even if it turned on by itself), and parking was just across the road, super convenient!
Wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but acceptable.

Just an appropriate option for a city escape in Beith with fantastic value. The bar lady offered me boiling water when I asked for tea. Tip for future visitors, Be prepared for some noise from the pub below.

The place offers basic accommodations tailor-made for a budget-friendly stay, perfect for solo travelers. It feels like a pub atmosphere, which can be cozy if you’re just looking to crash for the night.
Rooms are quite basic—thin walls make for a noisy experience, especially with shared facilities. My en suite had no windows or ventilation, and I battled with a shower head that came off in my hand. on top of that, the toilet was a constant source of noise due to a faulty float valve. The pub closes early at 6 PM, locking guests out without a call to the owner if you needed to go out. With £70 for the night, it felt overpriced given the lack of amenities, like breakfast. more like a hostel experience than a traditional hotel stay.
